Healing is not about becoming a new person. It’s about meeting yourself—your true self—fully and kindly, and choosing to move forward with meaning.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I have dedicated my professional life to supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate the often complex terrain of mental health, emotional well-being, and interpersonal relationships. With over a decade of experience in the field, my work has spanned both the correctional system and private practice, giving me a unique and well-rounded perspective on human behavior, resilience, and the power of therapeutic connection.
For the past ten years, I have served as a mental health clinician within a jail setting, where I have worked closely with individuals facing acute psychological crises, trauma histories, and extreme life circumstances. This high-intensity environment has sharpened my skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution, while deepening my understanding of the profound impact of compassion, empathy, and non-judgmental support—especially in moments of distress or emotional volatility.
Parallel to my work in corrections, I have cultivated a thriving private practice where I serve a diverse range of clients seeking meaningful change and personal growth. My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing on a variety of modalities to meet each client’s unique needs, though I primarily integrate psychodynamic therapy with cognitive behavioral techniques. I believe in exploring the unconscious patterns that shape current behaviors and emotional responses, while also equipping clients with practical tools to challenge and transform those patterns when they no longer serve them.
At the core of my work is a deep commitment to creating a safe, collaborative, and affirming space for healing. I believe that effective therapy begins with trust, mutual respect, and authentic human connection. Whether working with someone new to therapy or a client who has had prior experience, my warm, grounded, and empathetic style fosters an environment where individuals feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
If you’re seeking a therapist who combines clinical expertise with genuine care and a deep respect for your unique story, I invite you to reach out. Healing is possible—and it starts with feeling understood.
