ABOUT US
This is Therapy, Elevated
At Healing with Meaning, therapy is approached as more than a place to talk through symptoms. It is a space to examine the patterns, pressures, relationships, and inner conflicts that shape how you live, love, work, and understand yourself.
We work with clients who are seeking depth, clarity, and meaningful change. Some come to therapy because anxiety, stress, anger, depression, or relationship strain has become difficult to ignore. Others arrive at a point in life where outward success no longer feels fully aligned with their internal experience. In both cases, the work begins by looking beneath the surface.
Our approach combines clinical insight, emotional depth, and practical direction. We help clients identify the recurring patterns that keep them stuck, understand where those patterns come from, and begin making intentional changes in how they relate to themselves, others, and the life they are building.
Based in Los Angeles and serving clients throughout California, Healing with Meaning offers therapy that is thoughtful, collaborative, and highly personalized. We do not believe in generic treatment or quick-fix advice. We believe therapy should help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and meaningful.

Questions Before Beginning Therapy
What does “Healing with Meaning” actually mean?
Healing with Meaning reflects the belief that true healing involves more than reducing symptoms. It means developing a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that shape your life. Our work is focused on helping clients create lasting change that is connected to their values, grounded in self-awareness, and aligned with the life they want to build.
Who are the therapists behind the name?
Healing with Meaning is led by Dr. David Chadorchi, a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist, and Mahsa Chadorchi, a licensed marriage and family therapist. Together, we bring decades of experience across private practice, clinical treatment settings, family therapy, forensic psychology, trauma-informed care, and work with high-functioning professionals, couples, and families.
We personally handle every intake and session, which means clients work directly with experienced clinicians who are deeply invested in understanding their story and helping them move toward meaningful change.
What kinds of issues do you work with?
We work with individuals, couples, and families navigating concerns such as anxiety, stress, depression, anger, relationship challenges, parenting concerns, trauma, life transitions, self-worth, communication difficulties, and professional or executive stress.
Many of our clients are high-functioning and outwardly successful, yet feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck, or unsure why certain patterns continue to repeat. Our work focuses on both understanding those patterns and creating practical, meaningful change.
Do you offer both in-person and virtual sessions?
Yes. We offer select in-person sessions in Los Angeles, along with secure telehealth sessions for clients throughout California. Many clients choose virtual therapy because it allows for greater flexibility while still maintaining depth, consistency, and a strong therapeutic connection.
What sets Healing with Meaning apart from other practices?
Our approach combines clinical depth, emotional attunement, and practical direction. We do not believe in generic therapy or one-size-fits-all treatment. Each client’s care is shaped by their personal history, relationships, goals, values, and the specific patterns they want to better understand or change.
We draw from psychodynamic insight, trauma-informed care, family systems, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and real-world clinical experience. More importantly, we tailor the work to the person in front of us, so therapy feels focused, thoughtful, and relevant.
Do you accept insurance?
We accept both private pay and a limited number of insurance-based appointments. Because insurance availability is limited, many clients choose private pay for greater flexibility, privacy, and consistency in scheduling. For clients with out-of-network benefits, we can provide a superbill that may be submitted to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement, depending on your plan.
What are the benefits of private pay vs. insurance?
Private pay offers greater privacy, flexibility, and control over your care. When using insurance, therapists are typically required to assign a mental health diagnosis and submit documentation connected to medical necessity. Insurance companies may also limit the type, frequency, or duration of care they are willing to cover.
Private pay allows therapy to be guided by your needs, goals, and clinical progress rather than by insurance requirements. This can be especially helpful for clients seeking therapy for personal growth, relationship improvement, professional stress, prevention, or deeper self-understanding.
What’s the first step if I’m not sure which service fits?
The best first step is to request a complimentary 15-minute consultation. During that call, we can briefly discuss what you are looking for and help determine whether individual therapy, couples therapy, parenting support, executive-focused work, or another service would be the best fit.
