Therapy for high-achieving adults navigating anxiety, pressure, relationships, identity, and the cost of carrying everything alone.
When success does not feel like peace
Many of the people I work with are high-functioning adults who are used to performing, producing, leading, achieving, and holding things together.
From the outside, they may appear confident and composed. Internally, they may be dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, emotional exhaustion, relationship strain, irritability, perfectionism, grief, unresolved trauma, or a persistent sense that something is missing.
For some, the issue is not that life is falling apart. It is that life looks fine — but no longer feels fulfilling, grounded, or sustainable.
My role is to help you slow down enough to understand what is actually happening beneath the surface, identify the patterns that are keeping you stuck, and develop a more meaningful way forward.

“Healing does not mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls your life.”
Therapy is not about becoming a different person. It is about understanding yourself more honestly, responding to life with more clarity, and no longer feeling controlled by old patterns, old wounds, or the pressure to appear fine when you are not.
Insight, depth, and practical change
My approach combines the depth of psychodynamic therapy with the structure and practicality of cognitive behavioral therapy.
That means we will not only focus on what you are feeling now — we will also look at how your history, relationships, expectations, coping strategies, and internal beliefs have shaped the way you move through the world.
At the same time, therapy should not stay abstract. Insight matters, but insight alone is not enough. We will also work on practical tools, healthier ways of thinking, emotional regulation, communication, decision-making, and real changes in how you respond to yourself and others.
The goal is not temporary relief. The goal is a deeper understanding of yourself and a more intentional way of living.
A strong fit for people who want more than surface-level therapy
I work especially well with adults who are thoughtful, motivated, and ready to engage in meaningful psychological work.
This often includes professionals, executives, entrepreneurs, creatives, and high-achieving individuals who are carrying significant pressure in their personal or professional lives.
You may be a strong fit for my approach if you are experiencing:
- Anxiety, overthinking, or chronic stress
- Pressure to perform or maintain success
- Perfectionism, self-criticism, or difficulty feeling satisfied
- Relationship conflict or emotional disconnection
- Difficulty expressing needs, anger, grief, or vulnerability
- Major life transitions or identity questions
- Trauma, painful family dynamics, or unresolved emotional wounds
- A sense that you are functioning, but not truly feeling well
Therapy with me is direct, thoughtful, collaborative, and honest. I will help you look carefully at what is happening, challenge patterns that are no longer serving you, and support you in building a life that feels more aligned with who you actually are.
This is not about quick advice or generic coping skills. It is about developing a more honest relationship with yourself, identifying the patterns that keep repeating, and learning how to move through life with more clarity, emotional freedom, and purpose.
Clinical depth shaped by complex human experiences
My clinical background has given me the opportunity to work with people across a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life circumstances.
I have worked in outpatient, inpatient, academic, forensic, and crisis-oriented settings. These experiences have shaped my ability to sit with complexity, understand people under pressure, and help clients navigate difficult emotional terrain without judgment or oversimplification.
My training and clinical work have included settings such as anxiety treatment programs, acute psychiatric care, substance use treatment, university counseling, and forensic mental health environments.
In my forensic work, including experience in a maximum-security prison setting, I developed a deeper understanding of trauma, risk, emotional survival, identity, shame, resilience, and the ways people adapt to extreme circumstances.
While most of my private practice clients are not living in crisis, many are carrying invisible pressure, unresolved pain, or internal conflict that has gone unspoken for years. My background allows me to work with that complexity directly, calmly, and with respect.
Therapy should feel human, focused, and meaningful
I believe effective therapy requires more than technique. It requires a real relationship built on trust, honesty, and emotional safety.
My style is warm, engaged, and direct. I pay attention not only to what you say, but to the patterns beneath it — the themes that repeat, the feelings that get avoided, the stories you have learned to tell yourself, and the ways those stories may be limiting your life.
Therapy is not about blaming the past. It is about understanding how the past may still be living in the present.
When we understand those patterns clearly, we create more room for choice. More room for self-respect. More room for connection. More room for meaning.
A thoughtful beginning
The first session is a place to begin making sense of what has been weighing on you, repeating in your life, or no longer feeling sustainable.
We will talk about what brings you to therapy, what you are hoping to better understand, and what kind of change would feel meaningful. You do not need to arrive with everything perfectly organized. Part of the work is helping clarify what has felt difficult to name.
From there, we begin building a thoughtful and collaborative path forward.

Begin with a Consultation
You do not have to wait until things fall apart to begin therapy. Sometimes the right time to start is when you realize that functioning is no longer the same as feeling well.
If something on this page feels familiar, I invite you to schedule a consultation. We will talk briefly about what you are looking for, what you are hoping to change, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
