When You’re Successful in Life, But Struggling in Your Relationship
You can be successful, capable, accomplished, and deeply committed to your family, and still feel completely stuck in your relationship.
Maybe you keep having the same argument. Maybe you’ve become more like roommates than partners. Maybe one of you is constantly pursuing connection while the other pulls away. Or maybe nothing is technically “wrong,” but something just doesn’t feel right anymore.
You’ve probably tried talking about it. You may have read the books, listened to the podcasts, or promised each other that you’ll communicate better next time.
And yet, somehow, you’re back in the same place.
Therapy can help you understand why.
You Don’t Need More Advice. You Need to Understand the Pattern.
Most relationship problems aren’t actually about the thing you’re fighting about.
It’s rarely just about the dishes, the money, sex, parenting, work, or who forgot to call.
Those are often the entry points into a deeper pattern: feeling unseen, unimportant, rejected, controlled, alone, or afraid of losing the person you love.
I help couples slow that cycle down, understand what is happening underneath the conflict, and create a different way of relating to one another.
Because knowing what you should do is very different from being able to do it when you’re triggered, hurt, or feeling disconnected.

Couples Therapy
I specialize in helping couples who feel stuck in patterns they can’t seem to resolve on their own.
I work with couples experiencing:
Recurring arguments that never seem to get resolved
Emotional distance or feeling more like roommates
Communication that quickly turns into defensiveness or shutdown
Intimacy and connection difficulties
Trust and relationship ruptures
Conflict around parenting and family responsibilities
Major life transitions, including becoming parents
The impact of demanding careers and high levels of stress
A relationship that looks fine from the outside but feels very different behind closed doors
You don’t need to wait until your relationship is falling apart. Often, the best time to come to therapy is when you recognize that the way you’re relating to each other isn’t working anymore and you want to change it before the distance becomes harder to repair.
Individual Therapy
Sometimes the relationship isn’t the only place where you feel stuck.
I work with individuals who are highly capable and accustomed to handling life on their own, but who may be struggling with anxiety, self-worth, relationships, emotional regulation, major life transitions, or the pressure of constantly holding everything together.
Therapy can be a place to stop performing, slow things down, and understand what is actually driving the patterns you keep repeating.
A Different Kind of Therapy
My approach is warm, direct, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy and attachment-based therapy.
I’m not interested in simply telling you what you already know you should be doing.
And I’m not interested in making you feel like you’re the problem.
Instead, we’ll work together to understand the emotional patterns underneath what is happening, why those patterns keep getting activated, and how to respond differently.
I believe therapy should give you more than insight. It should give you a different experience of yourself and your relationships.
Help is Waiting for You
You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone.
If you’re tired of having the same conversation, repeating the same pattern, or wondering whether your relationship can feel different, therapy can help.
You don’t need to know exactly what you need before you reach out.
We can start with a consultation, talk about what’s happening, what you’ve tried, and what you hope could be different.
Begin with a Consultation
You do not have to wait until things fall apart to begin therapy. Sometimes the right time to start is when you realize that functioning is no longer the same as feeling well.
If something on this page feels familiar, I invite you to schedule a consultation. We will talk briefly about what you are looking for, what you are hoping to change, and whether working together feels like the right fit.
